Apprentice program
We’re growing and we need coaches!
We need coaches, but we need them to be homegrown. We’re looking for blue belts or higher to become a kids coach. And purple belts or higher to become an adults coach with A-SIDE.
4-6 Month Apprenticeship
If selected, we require a 4-6 month commitment from you. This means you will have to attend 3-4 classes where you are in training to become our coach. You cannot train yourself during these classes. We’ll need your full attention to learn our style of teaching and more importantly how we take care of our students. However, you will get an unlimited discounted membership during your apprenticeship and are allowed to take as many classes as you like as student.
APPRENTICE MEMBERSHIP
During your apprenticeship your unlimited monthly membership as a student will be discounted down to $95 a month! Regular membership is $195. The length of your apprenticeship will be determined by Prof Arman. If he deems you ready to teach a class by yourself he will promote you to coach. Once you are an A-SIDE coach your membership will be free as long as you’re a coach with us!
Coach REQUIREMENTS
Apprentices must be a blue belt or higher to teach a kids class and purple belt or higher to teach adult classes. You will need to fill out our interest form and pass an interview. Once accepted as an A-SIDE Coach you are required to abide by and enforce our Code of Conduct. You are also required to teach a total of three classes a week for a free membership. The classes will vary on your schedule and coaching style. You will work with Prof Arman onto which classes make sense for you and A-SIDE to teach. If you can only teach one or two classes a week we will work with you on a special discounted membership.
*A-SIDE has the right to terminate the apprenticeship or coach at anytime at our disclosure. Blue belts can only teach kids classes. To teach adult classes must be purple belt or higher.
